Reproductive Infectious Disease Testing

What It Is

Reproductive infectious disease testing includes laboratory investigations used to identify infections that may affect fertility or the course of pregnancy.

Why It Is Performed

These tests are carried out to detect infections of the reproductive system, as well as other infections that may interfere with conception, embryo implantation, or the successful continuation of pregnancy.

When It Is Recommended

Reproductive infectious disease testing may be recommended as part of the initial fertility assessment, before assisted reproductive treatment, or when an infection is suspected.

How It Is Performed / Preparation

Testing may include blood tests, microbiological samples, or PCR-based diagnostics. Preparation depends on the specific test and is determined in advance by the specialist.
