Assoc. Prof. Rumen Dimitrov, PhD

Assoc. Prof. Rumen Dimitrov, PhD, is a distinguished specialist in clinical embryology and reproductive biology with extensive experience in the research and application of modern assisted reproduction technologies.

He holds a Master’s degree in Biology from Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. As Chief Embryologist at New Life Clinic, he leads the embryology laboratory and contributes to the development of scientific and clinical projects in the field of assisted reproduction.

Since 2000, he has been a researcher at the Institute of Biology and Immunology of Reproduction at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, where he has conducted extensive research in human reproduction. Between 2006 and 2009, he served as Senior Assistant Professor in the Department of Molecular Immunology.

In 2009, he successfully defended his PhD thesis entitled “Characteristics and Biological Effects of Peritoneal Fluid in Endometriosis” and obtained the academic degree of Doctor. In 2013, he was awarded the academic position of Associate Professor at the Institute of Biology and Immunology of Reproduction, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.

His professional experience also includes clinical practice as a biologist-embryologist in IVF laboratories, where he has actively participated in the implementation of advanced assisted reproduction techniques.

Assoc. Prof. Dimitrov is a certified Clinical Embryologist by the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE) and a member of the Bulgarian Association of Human Reproductive Embryology.

Through his scientific and clinical expertise, he contributes to maintaining the highest standards within the embryology laboratory and to the successful implementation of innovative technologies in IVF treatment.
