Assisted Reproduction

At the initial consultation you and your partner will discuss your medical and fertility IVF history with one of our medical experts. Any relevant medical documents that you can provide at this stage will be helpful. In addition, your doctor will ask you some questions related to your lifestyle, because certain lifestyle factors have a negative impact on fertility and IVF outcome. Based on the information you provide, your doctor will order a number of diagnostic tests that will help him identify the underlying cause of infertility.Routine testing for women includes an examination of the ovaries, the fallopian tubes, the uterus and the cervix, using various observational methods. An endocrine (hormonal) evaluation, including assessment

of ovarian reserve (egg supply), is also performed.

Routine testing for men includes a physical examination of the penis and the testicles, an endocrine (hormonal) evaluation and a semen analysis.

In the majority of cases test results are conclusive and the cause of infertility is identified. That allows your doctor to select the procedure that provides you with optimal chances of achieving a successful pregnancy.

When the type of procedure is being selected, your family building goals and the timeframe in which you aim to achieve them are also taken into consideration.

As well as the “Infertility Consultation, Tests & Evaluation”, your IVF procedure will also include some or all of the following steps:

2. Controlled Ovarian Hyperstimulation (COH)

3. Egg Retrieval

4. Semen Sample Collection

5. Assisted Reproductive Technologies (e.g. IUI, IVF, ICSI)

6. Embryo Transfer

7. Confirmation of Pregnancy
