The dedication of the loved by all actress Desi Bakardjieva, together with the New Life Clinic in Plovdiv, to the couples with reproductive problems in Bulgaria has prompted the star we know from the tv screen and New Life in vitro center to create the “Dream with Desi – When the Stars Dream with you! ” campaign which will fulfill the dreams of two Bulgarian families by donating one in vitro procedure with stimulation included and an in vitro procedure with donor eggs with a 50% discount. The campaign starts on 01/03/2019 and will continue until 21/04/2019 – Good Sunday. Desi Bakardjieva and the team of the clinic will announce the lucky winners on April 22, 2019.

All those who meet the conditions for the in vitro procedure, as well as the donor egg one, can take part in the initiative. They will have to write a letter in which to share their emotional story. Participants must first learn about the rules for participating in the clinic’s website.

“Wish2019”

The compassion that we and our partners feel for couples with reproductive issues drove us to create the “Wish!” campaign. For the 5th year in a row the campaign will make possible the dream of more Bulgarian families by donating 2 IVF procedures. The “Wish!” campaign is open to all Bulgarian citizens. This year our team decided to combine the power of modern technologies with the positive message of the campaign. That is why we ask you to send us photos. The campaign officially starts on 1st December and concludes on 25th December 2018. You can send your videos until the end date of the campaign. Voting for the different clips will take place until 20 January 2019. On the 21 January the team of New Life will announce the winners.

We would like to welcome you on 16th October 2018 at 18:00 at New Life Clinic, where as part of our open day specifically for couples interested in a donor egg procedure, you will receive complete information about the program by Prof. Neri Laufer, Dr. Dobrinka Petrova and Assoc. Rumen Dimitrov.

The program gives you the opportunity to select a donor that meets your requirements. You can choose your donor based on information such as eye and hair color, height, education, blood type and others, as well as get to know the medical history of the donor and her family.

All couples who visit the open day will receive a free consultation with one of our reproductive specialists Dr. Dimitar Tanev or Dr. Andrey Minchev after booking an appointment .

The 33rd annual meeting of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE) took place from 1st until 4th of July this year in Barcelona. We are proud that New Life fertility center had a representative at the most prestigious European Conference in the field of Assisted Reproduction. The most current topics in the field were discussed at the scientific forum. Those included newest methods for improving embryo implantation, innovations in embryo selection for transfer and freezing and others.

The founding of ESHRE was initiated by the father of in-vitro fertilization – the English biologist Professor Sir Robert Edwards. The main aim of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology is to facilitate research and subsequent dissemination of research findings in the field to the general public, scientists, clinicians and patient associations. It also collaborates with politicians and policy makers throughout Europe. The society also promotes improvements in clinical practice through organizing teaching and training activities, developing and maintaining data registries and providing guidance to improve safety and quality assurance in clinical and laboratory procedures.

Open Day, entitled “Can I afford IVF?”.

New Life fertility center, Plovdiv, had an Open Day, entitled “Can I afford IVF?”. “Zhachatie” Association, represented by dr Mariela Daskalova, Foundation “Iskam Bebe”, represented by Vera Vuldjeva and the team of New Life discussed in detail the following topics:

  • Who can take advantage of the financing provided by the Center for Assisted Reproduction (the so called Fund “In Vitro”)? What will be the changes introduced in the beginning of 2018?
  • What financial support would different municipalities provide?
  • What would be the future charity campaigns of Foundation “Iskam Bebe”, Association “Zachatie” and “New Life” fertility center?

Computer Assisted Spermogram (CASA)  semen analysis – 80 lev , until the end of 2017 at New Life clinic.

WHAT IS IT?

CASA is an automated system for sperm analysis which makes use of software for the evaluation of sperm concentration, motility and morphology. The main advantage of CASA is that it eliminates the subjectivity associated with the human factor in manual semen analysis, thereby allowing for better standardization of the procedure. Furthermore, the software counts the spermatozoa more accurately, can calculate and record their exact speed and movement trajectory as well as the dimensions of their heads, midpieces and tails for more accurate morphology evaluation. Using computer assisted sperm analysis also allows better visualization of the results, which aids patient understanding.

IS IT MORE SUITABLE FOR ME THAN REGULAR SEMEN ANALYSIS?

Regular semen analysis is recommended in two cases.

It is recommended for patients whose previous semen analysis reported very low sperm concentration or motility. In such cases manual analysis gives more accurate result.

The second case refers to patients for whom this is the 1st semen analysis. In this case manual semen analysis is quite sufficient and it is always good to start with a regular semen analysis.

In all other cases patients receive more and more accurate and visual information from a CASA.

  • Financial support from Non-Governmental Organizations – Foundation “Iskam Bebe”, Association “Zachatie”, charity campaigns of New Life Fertility Center and the Financial program “Plan Bebe” from Piraeus Bank
